Background
Elevating Artistic Expression
Anna grew up in the Midwest and spent most of her childhood in the gym as a competitive rhythmic gymnast. She competed at the Junior Olympic level until a serious hip injury ended her athletic career and required reconstructive surgery. During recovery, she found the performing arts and fell in love with storytelling—especially the energy and connection of live performance.
She went on to study vocal performance, bringing with her the discipline and organization she learned as an athlete—something she quickly realized wasn’t always emphasized in the arts, but deeply needed. Anna graduated summa cum laude and performed professionally across the country, working with Mary Zimmerman at the Goodman Theatre, appearing in A Thousand Faces with Sam Scalamoni, performing as a Principle Singer in Ainadmar at the Metropolitan Opera under Deborah Colker's direction, and dancing with LA Opera in Turandot on the famous David Hockney set and costume design.
Alongside performing, Anna naturally gravitated toward leadership roles. She served as a dance captain on projects, assisted and directed with large-scale gala events, and supported production teams—experiences that strengthened her ability to balance creativity with structure, planning, and collaboration. Right out of college she also founded a nonprofit youth theater organization focused on bringing high-quality arts training to underserved communities. Running the nonprofit taught her the realities of building something sustainable: budgeting, program development, communication, and long-term organization, all while staying true to a creative mission.
Through a series of conversations and client asks, Anna began managing social media and digital presence for small businesses and creative organizations. What started organically quickly grew into a core part of her work. She found that the same skills she used in performance, storytelling, clarity, and emotional connection, translated naturally into digital marketing and visual communication.
Today, Anna works as a creative director, combining her background in the performing arts, organizational leadership, and social media strategy. Her approach is rooted in both creativity and intention, turning brand values and ideas into visuals that feel authentic, connect with audiences, and actually work in the spaces people are paying attention to.
